SLCDF in its efforts to assist the marginalised communities in the North, welcomed the opportunity to implement the Diakonia (international NGO ? Sri Lanka office) funded project with the NGO, Yougasakthy Women Federation. The NGO works mostly with women headed households and differently abled families, to increase productivity and income through integrated livelihood projects for sustainability. Through this project 148 families of the four clusters of Vanaruvi, Alaimagal, Poonthendral and Ilanthalir of Yougasakthy Women Federation would be assisted to restart their livelihoods in dairy farming, conservation farming and other income generating projects in Oddusuddan and Puthukudiyiruppu DS Divisions with the help of various government institutions.
