District Consortium

Jaffna DC was registered at the District Secretariat, Jaffna on 22nd January 2003 and the Registration No. is JA/GA/P/CA/07

To promote freedom for NGOs and provide the opportunity to deliver their services to the beneficiaries in the district without any bias
To develop rapport among other NGOs, respect their norms and build up good will and mutually and exclusively and build up their ability to share their skills
To ensure effective implementation of programmes in the District.
To build up capacity of member organizations
To promote Human Rights condition and peace initiatives.

Building coalitions between DCs and other networks of CSOs
Mapping out the serious challenges and or constrains on service delivery at different levels (on Gender based violence, gender equity, child protection, elders rights, disabilities, psychosocial wellbeing, IDPs)
Awareness Raising Campaign on Rights based Approaches.
Initiate appropriate research on selected topics · Set up Advocacy Forum
