‘Livelihood Assistance for Affected Families adjusting to the ‘New Normal’ brought on by COVID 19 pandemic in Kandy District’ was funded by IDRF USA and directed by SLCDF to empower vulnerable families in the Kandy district to adjust to the ‘New Normal’ brought by the Covid 19 pandemic. The project provided a revolving loan fund and capacity building to the beneficiaries to improve their livelihood development. The project spanned for 2 years.

40 Civil Society Organizations, 40 facilitators established within CSOs, 125 peer educators working with 9,000 Female sex workers, Deserted Women & Single Women, 20 facilitators as trainers to build capacity of female sex workers and peer educators, 40 barefoot nutritionists, 40 lawyers from the Legal Aid Commission, 200 Key government sector officials, 50 political leaders and representatives, 50 community and religious leaders (power holders), 30 schools and school development associations
