‘Livelihood Assistance for Affected Families adjusting to the ‘New Normal’ brought on by COVID 19 pandemic in Kandy District’ was funded by IDRF USA and directed by SLCDF to empower vulnerable families in the Kandy district to adjust to the ‘New Normal’ brought by the Covid 19 pandemic. The project provided a revolving loan fund and capacity building to the beneficiaries to improve their livelihood development. The project spanned for 2 years.

- 1. To re-establish livelihoods providing startup capital on revolving loan fund for vulnerable families including Women Headed Households (WHHs), families with children, persons with disabilities, young mothers with children and low-income families.
2. To provide women and men with more access and support to inputs, services, markets, assets, knowledge/ information and skills .
3. To improve social and personal relationships which promotes their access to resources, participation in economic sector and their overall well-being .
4. To support productive participation of women and more agency of women in economic sectors
