BATTICALOA WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Supported by Palmera Australia
The Batticaloa Programme – Women Empowerment Collective is a one-year initiative funded by Palmera Projects and implemented by the Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation (SLCDF) in partnership with the Rural Development Planning Organization (RDPO). The project is designed to build the social capital of women in the Vavunatheevu Divisional Secretariat Division through the Self Help Group (SHG) approach. By strengthening SHGs, clusters, and federations, the programme aims to enable women to address social, economic, and political issues in their communities and safeguard the rights of women and children.
