POONAGARY WOMEN EMPOWER COLLECTIVE PROJECT

The Poonagari Women Empowerment Collective (WEC) is a one-year initiative funded by Palmera Australia and implemented by the Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation (SLCDF), in partnership with the Mahasakthy Women Federation. The project focuses on building social capital and empowering women through the Self Help Group (SHG) approach in the Poonagari Divisional Secretariat Division of Kilinochchi District. It aims to establish sustainable local mechanisms to promote and protect the rights of women and children, particularly in post-conflict communities
