District Consortium

Galle DC was registered under Voluntary Services Organization No: DaPaSa/Sase/ 03/ 06/ Ga / 97 in 1997.

To promote links and dialogue between and among the member organizations
To avoid duplication of activities, share knowledge, skills and learning
To enhance collective actions and promote harmony of different ethnic groups
To build capacities of the member organizations in order to provide effective services for the civil society.

Project orientation to all stakeholders including selected Government, Local Authorities, National Integration Promotion Assistants, National Integration Promotion Coordinator (Divisional Level), district consortia staff and resource persons.
Develop Module for TOT, awareness creation and IDOS
Awareness raising program for Government, Local Authorities, CSOs and Youth Organizations.
Institutional development and organizational governance strengthening training for the Co-existence Societies and civil society organizations.
Group Language classes to Sinhala and Tamil Speaking Co- Existence leaders, CSOs leaders and Government Officials.
Formation of 02 Co-existence Society Clusters in each district and strengthening of existing Co-existence Societies.
Co-existence Society Clusters linked with CSOs, DCs and Government Institutions.
Regular monitoring and coordination of Project Activities.
