Project Achievements
WEC - Women Economic Empowerment Program

Enhancing women’s income, financial independence, and community collaboration through savings and livelihood initiatives
Massive SHG Mobilization:
Across all areas, we formed a total of 163 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) engaging 2,319 women in essential savings activities. This collective power ensures a strong financial base for the entire community.
Facilitating Credit Access:
A high percentage of members now have access to safe credit. Specifically, 97% of women in the Northern Karaichi and Kandawalai SHGs and a total of 1,238 women in the Additional Area have successfully accessed credit, significantly reducing their reliance on predatory lenders.
Boosting Income and Influence:
The program has directly increased the income for 233 women (161 in Northern Karaichi/Kandawalai and 72 in the Additional Area), while enabling 60% of women across both regions to gain greater control over household decision-making.
