Overview
CREAM is a child-rights initiative designed to safeguard children’s well-being while improving education and nutrition outcomes in Uva Province. Funded by KNH and led by SLCDF, the project works through child clubs and self-help groups (SHGs) to ensure children aged 6–18 have access to safe environments, proper nutrition, and quality education.
By strengthening families, schools, and community systems, CREAM ensures that children’s rights are protected and nurtured.
Why This Makes a Difference
Children in Uva face multiple risks—poverty, malnutrition, and rights violations—that limit their potential. CREAM addresses these issues holistically, ensuring that children not only survive but thrive. By engaging parents, schools, civil society, and government stakeholders, the project builds a protective environment for children while raising community accountability.
