First Step Towards Strong Women's Federations in Badulla & Monaragala

Create Responsible Enthusiastic Accountable Movement for Child Rights

SLCDF, under the CREAM Project, organized a 3-day Pre-Federation Training in Badulla, September 23-25, 2025, to enhance women's leadership and promote collective action.

The training, facilitated by the SHA National Coordinator of KNH and supported by partner organizations (Tea Leaf Vision (TLV), SEED, Center for Justice (CEJ), and SLCDF, included a hand-on visit to the Penguin Cluster Level Association (CLA) in Nikebadda, Passara, giving participants practical experience in federation-building.

This initiative marks the first step toward establishing women's federations in 2026, fostering women's empowerment, child protection, and resilient communities.
